Rosaries are the most important currency in Hollow Knight: Silksong. You'll need them to buy equipment, open up benches, and even enter areas sometimes. You'll run out of the fast — particularly if you find yourself dying a lot.

Fortunately, there are a few easy ways to farm Rosaries so that the pilgrims across Pharloom will be begging for some tips. If you're a keen spender, then you'll want to know the best places to farm Rosaries in Silksong, so keep on reading.

Act 1 Rosary Farming

There are a couple of extremely good places to farm Rosaries, which can easily bottleneck your progress — especially if you want to buy Maps or other useful Tools.

Mosshome

The first place you'll likely need more Rosaries is once you meet Shakra, the cartographer, in The Marrow. Luckily, there's an easy spot very close to her where you can get some more dosh.

Just head to the corridor to the left of her where you'll enter Mosshome, a green area that connects The Marrow back to Bone Bottom. This corridor is full of Pilgrims that you can defeat to steal their money. Sounds a little harsh, right?

And, best part? There's a bench at the end (and a gate to unlock) so you can literally zip left and right and grab rosaries easily.

Greymoor

While this method is a little riskier, Greymoor also has a pretty solid run of enemies, and one sweep can net you 50 Rosaries in about 30 seconds.

The corridor is between the Halfway House and the entrance and, if you've rung the Bell here, you can actually run between two different benches.

Act 2 Rosary Farming

Now you're inside The Citadel, stronger enemies are much more common, and when you get the patterns down, they're pretty handy for farming Rosaries.

Here are a couple of spots we've found that are perfect for some money grinding.

Songclave to High Halls entrance

This is one of the more-dangerous hallways in the game, but these Grand Reed enemies drop a ton of Rosaries. You just need to learn their patterns and rhythm and be ready to run fast.

These will take a while to kill at first, and you might even end up dying yourself. But you're right by Songclave, meaning there's an easy out if you're low on health.

Outside the Grand Bellway

For a slightly easier time, the Grand Bellway is right next two two enemies that drop around 29 Rosaries in just a few seconds. There's also a bench right here.

Simply run left, kill the foes, grab the goods, and then return to the bench. Rest, reset, repeat. Easy!

Act 3 Rosary Farming

Once you hit Act 3, lots of things change, including some of the enemies dotted around the world. So your usual farming spots won't work.

Choral Chambers west bench

You big corridor is no longer stuffed full of Grand Reeds. There's two left still, but for how long they take and how much more dangerous they are in Act 3? Not worth it.

The best spot we've found is close to High Halls, so ride the Ventrica lift there. Drop down into the Choral Chambers and then head left, towards the bench on the far side of the map.

Once you jump over the spiked corridor, keep going left and you'll see a group of four enemies all consumed by the void. They're tough, but they'll drop around 70-80 Rosaries very quickly if you can bunch them together and use Tools and Silk Skills to kill them.

There's a bench just the other side of them, too, and if you've managed to bind Eva, you can replenish your Silk over and over again by waiting at the bench.

How to save Rosaries and not lose them

If you die in Silksong, you'll lose all your Rosaries and need to pick them up again from the Silk Cocoon Hornet leaves when she dies. If you die a second time without destroying the cocoon, however? Those Rosaries are gone, forever.

Luckily, there are ways you can store them and use them later, similar to a method used in From Software's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. You can exchange Rosaries for various Rosay Strings, and these store your cash until you decide to use them.

You can buy these at shops or at the designated stations across Pharloom. There's one in Greymoor where you can trade 80 Rosaries for a Rosary String worth 60 Rosaries. Might sound like a scam, but if you die a lot, then this is a sure-fire way to save your cash.
