Video: Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter DLC Overview Trailer Released

Looks cool, but if I do play this game and decide to get the dlc for it, I'll just get the game digitally since I refuse to get a physical game with digital dlc.

I’ve never played this series, but I’ve been playing the demo for like 5 hours now and absolutely love it.

Can’t wait for release! I’m just getting the Switch 1 version physically and playing on my 2 without the upgrade. It looks beautiful in the demo already, which I assume is the Switch 1 version?

Occasionally I think about how JRPG devs have so many choices for costume DLCs and yet swimsuits always end up on there without fail

@RiasGremory, I know that, but I made a rule for myself that I wouldn't buy a game physical that had any game content as part of an update or paid dlc, unless I skipped the dlc. Otherwise, I just get the game digitally since I prefer to have the whole thing in one format 😃. I'm not anti-digital, I'm just anti-Game Key Card. I am fine with buying a physical that has a few bug fix patches though.

DLC on top of a £50 remake is really poor.

Probably going to buy the game because I enjoyed the demo. Zero chance I spend money on the DLC.

I was on the fence but this convinced me never to play it.

As a person whose bought every collectors for this series, I will be buying this and the dlc. The dlc is just fun stuff they have added every game :3 also generally is cheap stuff . Least they haven't done any story dlc ever.

@KociolekDoSyta Nice, I had to import my Zero and Azure editions from back in the day myself. I've been a Nihon fan since the Gargav trilogy. They make really good games I've always felt and they tend to care a lot about their world building in their series.

@jobvd To each their own, I find the stories very enjoyable and love games that go so in depth into their world building. Very few series even bother doing that and when they do those series wind up retconning it or the world building only matters for like a couple of games. I enjoy getting lost in other worlds.

Careful about saying you’re anti-Game Key Card. You’ll set off a bunch of people who think that their way is the only way and if you don’t agree they will start slandering your name and loss their minds.

@Darkcaptain3 I had to import Trails of Cold Steel Kai and II Kai from Japan. There are English fan patches for both, so it's ok. I love the series and then very closely the next one is Ys. Incredible games that will make you sink into them for thousands of hours altogether.

How long is the demo? I have the game pre ordered already but I'm dying to start now but if the demo is only a couple of hours long then I won't bother as it's still two weeks away.

Played the demo for about an hours, and then uninstalled it.
I'm done with Falcom JRPG's.
All of them looks and feel the same now, with the typical clichés, characters and artstyle, that modern JRPG' suffer from.
They even succeeded to make YS boring now...

Might give the original version a try instead.

I'm only 16 years old and don't even have a part time job quite yet, so of course I decide not to buy the vast majority of games when I don't have a ton of money and I'm saving up for very important stuff like a car and a house 😃. Also, my parents only give me one hour of video game time a day though I'm sometimes given extra.

@UltimateOtaku91 It took me around 7-8 hours to complete the demo, it's the whole prologue chapter.

What does "...and much more" mean?
It looks like costume and flag sets only, I would not even say it's DLC...
Anyways, I am getting physical version.

I pretty much always wait for sales, and DLC guarantees it. I’ll buy it in like, 3 years.

I was about to pull the trigger on Cult of the Lamb. Haven’t decided what to do about that. Dead Cells should be on its biggest sale ever in the near future.

Maybe my previous comment needs some explaining.
I always love the gameplay in these jrpg's, but the stories and characters are always so generic. And they already make me feel like I'm wasting my time.
But if I'm going to be bombarded with jiggly physics and pop-ups for swimsuit dlc, I'm just going to pull the plug.

I hate modern gaming, I'll wait for a sale.

Started the demo on this and will be picking this up, in fact i have already ordered, the Switch physical.

Trails seems a daunting series to get into well now is the perfect time with this entry.

I played thought cold steel 1 and 2 on ps4, those were fun , great story and plot twists and now most of the series is on The Nintendo Switch it easier to get into as all games are in one place, i think we are missing Cold Steel 1 and 2 but they surely come to the west as they are already on the Japanese eshop.

Probably get this for the Steamdeck and PS5. I don't want to support key cards.

I don't have any issues with reasonably priced cosmetic DLC. Is this coming to other regions?

@Mikey_205 it's not a key card the physical version is the switch 1 version and there is a Switch 2 upgrade for 1$
