This week I've been playing some great games

Switch
The Legend of Tianding.
Really enjoying this game, some great art and the fighting is very satisfying. Good stuff.

Switch 2
Cyberpunk 2077. Absolutely getting right into this. The game has so much to see and do, I'm loving it.

Shadow Labyrinth. Secret Edition.
Playing this on Switch 2 as I heard it struggles on Switch. Plays beautifully on S2, buttery smooth and some great art and sound. I'm really enjoying it. I must be playing a different version from reviews because it plays perfectly on S2. It did have a big update before I could play it but I've encountered no hassles whatsoever so reviewers really need to revisit it. I bought the Switch version on cart and got the free S2 update.

Also had Chronicles of the Wolf and Pipistrello arrive this week as well so I'm looking forward to some great games.

Ruffy and the Riverside is turning out to be a nice little romp; sort of reminds me of Banjo-Kazooie without the combat.
I also started a replay of the excellent and quick Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse
It’s nice to have an RPG break once in a while.

The summer break with my girls is over for the month as they go back to their mums today. I will be drowning my sorrows in SF6, all the Capcom fighting collections and Drag x Drive. I think it’s also time Cyberpunk and Yakuza 0 came back out to play now the kids aren’t around.

If everything goes well, I will finish Final Fantasy IX this weekend. Still in love with the old Final Fantasy games.

This weekend I played Fantasy Life I PS5. 🤓

I have finished the storyline so I focused on upgrading my other jobs rank to Master in order to raise the Marco's shop rank to 5 stars by getting the recipes for making the items to be delivered to Marco.

Playing Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound…. Excellent so far… sounds great, looks great, plays great, lets see how it evolves the gameplay and level design over a full play though

I played and enjoyed the demos for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales and Mina the Hollower last week. Perhaps due to choosing the hammer, I didn't love how the latter felt, but I'll give it another go with another weapon closer to release.

My current game is Demon’s Souls, which I've just started. I keep hitting square to attack, wasting healing items, and can't really get parrying down. Nioh is the only similar game I've played so far and they feel completely different. Since I found the start of that really hard and then got into it, I'm hoping I'll get used to the controls and enjoy Demon’s Souls.

Started Final Fantasy 3 Pixel Remaster on Switch, pretty good so far.

Separately, while cleaning out stuff in my childhood home, I found a Gamecube with Metroid Prime, Starfox, F Zero GX, Wind Waker and Beyond Good and Evil. Curious part is my long-gone GC was purple (this one's gray) and I have never owned/played these games (pretty sure they belonged to a friend who says they don't remember), so it was an amazing find to say the least. I've just finished Twilight Princess HD on Wii U and have realised I don't like it as much as I used to which is sad but once you've played a game several times that can happen.

I might play some MK8 Deluxe or Splatoon 3 before deciding on my next game. Will do my weekly Ring Fit Adventure workout too.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Finally got a Skell and it's really opened up the world. The alien races are fascinating to get to know, particularly the Qlurians and Ma-non. Another concern I am happy to report unfounded is the performance: this game is gorgeous and runs pretty much flawlessly even on a Switch 1. I've sunk 50 hours into this adventure and look forward to many more!

I finally beat Tears of the Kingdom last night! I started a playthrough when it first came out, but just fell off it about halfway through the game. Decided to start over once the Switch 2 edition came out and wasn't disappointed.

Looks like I can finally start playing Bananza now!

I've been playing a great 2D platformer called Splasher and I only have a few levels left, I highly recommend it. It cost me less than £2 on sale in the eshop!

It's been a busy week as a prelude to busier weeks - which makes it a good thing I'm going a bit lighter in time investment after finishing the fantastic Xenoblade Chronicles X. Right now I'm playing Suikoden I, a curious gap in my "best of" JRPGs experience. I'm also getting a bit of time in on Cities: Skylines in, although I'm really just learning the systems right now.

Also beginning the more serious work for Halloween decorations. I had enough motion sensors to protect the Mona Lisa arrive and we're getting our more advanced applications tested 😁

Might get some C64 in over the weekend. Its the Maxi rerelease and my HDMI to Scart died New one coming from Amazon today. CRT is the way to play 👍

I've been incredibly busy this weekend converting my spare bedroom into a small home library. Spent all last night painting and shopping for bookshelves. The carpet guy arrives this morning, and then we've got 8 bookshelves to pick up from the stores and assemble. Not really sure how much time I'll have for gaming. I had zero time last night.

But if I do, I'll probably play some more Cato: Buttered Cat. The puzzles are becoming real brain-benders. They're usually very satisfying to complete, but i didn't expect it to be this difficult. Not sure if I'll be able to beat it, but I would like to make some progress.

I also just beat Sheepo this week, much is a fun little first game from the devs of Islets and Crypt Custodian. It was definitely worth the sale price, even though it was rough around the edges. I also picked up the Heretic + Hexen pack and UFO 50 with eshop card money that I got by selling a bunch of graphic novels to EbGames that I had gotten from thrift stores years ago (I originally thought they only took manga, but i gave it a shot and walked out with some good cash). I would like to play those games soon (especially UFO 50, with what I've heard), but i still may only have time for Cato this weekend.

I had a week off at home, so I started ‘Clair Obscur’ on the PS5… and I’m absolutely hooked. Which means my poor Switch 2 has been and will continue to be left abandoned and neglected in its dock.

Ninja gainden ragebound, the difficulty is perfect I think, a bit hard but not too hard, the game 2D graphics and soundtracks are also amazing. Also can't wait for shinobi art of vengeance 😃

I finally got DK: Bonanza so that mostly. With some Disco Elysium on the side.

Still no games. Game dev of my JS Plants vs. Zombies like game is going great though.

I’ve some great strides. Levels and unit types can be configured in JSON files now then deserialized into granted objects. This makes testing so much easier as I don’t have to go through lengthy object setup. I’ve also included shorthand in the Covid edict translate to configuration so less magic numbers.

In other news I have level progression in the UI to thangs to configuration I can set a next level and on victory the user can go to the next level.

I introduced unit behavior this week. Units can have melee behavior or ranged where they fire projectiles which damage their foes. I even have a unit type that generates energy for the player so they can create units faster. So I have variations on the peashooter, sunflower and wall-nut then a zombie (and speedy zombie) on the other side.

We’re not done yet. I converted my absolute value positioning system to world coordinates so I can scale them easier based on screen size.

It’s been a lot of fun seeing this all come together I put together some simple level then real pushed what could be done by adding in lots of enemy waves. It makes me realize that you can build a system but play testing and balancing are critical too.

Technically we’re a functional game now we have victory, defeat and gameplay features but I have along way to go yet.

This next week I want to add in unit removal (shovel mechanism) and possibly introduce a level select based on configured levels. Finally possibly animation but that’s a big one.

OFF. One of those games I’ve watched lets plays of but never got to play myself. So I’m gonna rectify that now the remaster came out. Also Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.

Not much this weekend since I”m low on time to be able to play. But I”m sure I”ll manage to play some Tomb Raider (2013) on my Steam Deck and also some casual Mario Kart World. Maybe, just maybe, I”m gonna explore some of my other Switch 2 games that I”ve bought.

Back to working on my backlog, this time The Plucky Squire. While I'm looking forward to getting Switch 2 in the near future, in some ways I'm thankful I don't have a Switch 2 yet considering there's a fair few fantastic games I've played over the past few months that may have gotten stuck in the backlog if I had a Switch 2.

I'm going to restart Bananza after putting it on hold to restart BotW from scratch and beat it. I hope this time I'll be able to overcome my motion sickness and enjoy it throughly.

Speaking of BotW, I found the Zelda Notes very useful for getting at least 400 Koroku seeds and 100% on all the rest. In other words, it was useful but only at the end of the game (jeez time flies... I already passed 220 hours on it since I restarted it!)

I finished up the platinum trophy for Mafia: The Old Country this week. I found it to be the epitome of a 7/10 game which is a compliment. I honestly would rate it higher if not for a couple of nagging issues that prevent it from excelling.

The story and characters are very well written and acted. I managed to get invested in their arc(s) and care about the main protagonist and his fate. It may have been a predictable tale, but that didn’t stop it from being effective. My complaint, however, lies with its ending. It wasn’t bad—it was rushed. There should have been a few more chapters sprinkled in to flesh out the narrative. There are character perspectives that go from adoring someone in the Mafioso family to complete defilement in the span of one chapter. It didn’t make sense. Thematically, I understand, but how we got to that destination felt diluted.

On the other side of things, I found the gameplay solid and enjoyable. The driving felt more intuitive than Mafia 1, and the combat and stealth mechanics were great, albeit uninspired. It felt like an Uncharted game from the early PS3-era, with its cover based shooting, stealth elements, and set pieces.

The only real annoyance I have with the game - and this dates back to Mafia 1 - is the collectibles. My goodness, talk about atrocious. The developers really needs to come up with a better system for how you acquire these items, particularly when it’s an limited open world that encourages you to stay on the main course by having a countdown of 15 seconds to return to the main objective if you stray off the beaten path. Guess where at least a partial amount of those collectibles are; yep, you guessed it.

Thankfully, once you beat the game there is an option for chapter replay and “explore” mode, meaning you have access to the entire world map. This sounds great in theory, but it still makes hunting for collectibles tiresome. They won’t appear on the map unless you are physically next to it. This wouldn’t be much of an issue if there was an incentive to get out of your vehicle or dismount from your horse, but there isn’t. Speaking of the map, you can’t set any markers, so you are constantly opening and closing your map to see how close you are to your destination.

What doesn’t appear on the map regardless if you are near is the infamous foxes that you can obtain. There are 50 of them total, and unlike other collectibles such as Newspapers, Saint cards, and Photographs, they don’t have a specific name registered to them. Moreover, some of these collectibles are exclusively tied to main missions, and since there is no tracker for what you have or haven’t collected in the story, good luck with the hunt.

Overall, I think the game is good to borderline great. If you’re a fan of a tight narrative with compelling characters and serviceable gameplay you should definitely try this game out. There are a few stumbles along the way with its pacing, but if you’re looking for something to beat over a weekend then you can’t go wrong with this game.

After a busy few weeks the kiddos just want to stay home and chill today, so there should be time to play some more UFO 50 and DK Bananza. I may try to rally the kids to go to the local observatory with me tonight though, to stargaze and appreciate the Milky Way a bit. We’ll see….

In the kids’ absence I’ll want to sink more time into Raiden NOVA - it’s always so satisfying to zap hordes of enemies in a storm of vulcan fire or with your big bendy purple plasma ray. Or I might return to Cyberpunk 2077, as, fortuitously, the armored berserk hammer lady who kept wrecking me got caught in a glitch and just hopped around defenseless while I unloaded about a hundred shotgun rounds and finally won for once! What a gonk victory. I’ll take it, though! 😂
I’m just glad to be free to roam the streets of Night City again.

I’m near the end game of Paper Mario Sticker Star so I’ll most likely “stick” with it until the credits roll.

Elsewhere it’s kind of a hodgepodge this weekend: a little Metroid II via Crankboy, some Newer Super Mario Bros Wii, and I’ve been wanting to jump back into Breath of the Wild and finally finish the last few Shrine side quests.

My TLoZ: BotW S2E 100% Master Mode journey continues. I beat Monk Maz Koshia and got my dirt bike. Afterwards, I unlocked the final memory. Zelda keeps telling me I'm ready to defeat Calamity Ganon, but that's just plain poppycock! I still have 226 seeds and 19 shrines to find before I even consider going back to Hyrule Castle! Hang in there, Princess... I'll save you, eventually!

I had the week off and I had been hoping to catch up on my TBR before summer is over, but I haven't made as much progress as I had wanted on that.

So I will be "playing" reading books mainly and perhaps some UFO 50 (current favorites are Porgy and Star Waspir).

I dont like buying digitally, but a bunch of thr Lego games are on deeeeep discount on the eshop right now, so I picked up a few that I didn't have. Gonna try to get going on Marvel Superheroes 2 this weekend.

destiny 2- as much as I love star wars and star trek I think destiny may be my favorite sci-fi universe.

My gaming time was limited this week and may continue to be so this weekend. When I do get the chance to play I really need to focus on Donkey Kong Bananza. Having a blast but I'm being so slow with it.

I was also able to finish off Metroid Zero Mission (NSO). That game was awesome. Crossed off the backlog list! Now I'm debating just focusing on Bananza or start another backlog list game on the side. We'll see what I do.

On an unrelated to gaming note tomorrow evening I'm going to see Jerry Cantrell. LOVE his solo music and obviously big fan of all Alice in Chains catalog (yes, especially the 3 albums with the new singer). He's a dying breed of musicians from a bygone era.

This being the tail end of the streak I mentioned last time, much of the lineup remains unchanged as well, although certain items like Yumia, XCX, P5R, Cyberpunk, RE0, Azuma and Palia may get particular playtime on Switch while the likes of Lies of P, Wolfenstein New Order, Payback, Watch Dogs, Horizon, Valentia and a bunch of Tales are likely to make up the bulk of activity on the other platforms. Still got a shot at finishing Super Mario Kart and Doom 3 as well, although the former might make way for more Speedstorm (with the unlocked tour nodes to mop up because the season will estimatedly end right before I get back to the hobby in late August) while the latter still has a reported followup campaign of sorts, so I probably won't be done with it just yet anyway.

I played through Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze with my brother recently. I must say, this game is simply incredible! I didn't expect it to be nearly this great! Overall, Returns is still my favorite game in the series, (probably due to nostalgia) but this is a super close second.
Also playing through Castlevania Aria of Sorrow and loving it. Not much else to say about it I guess.
And I 100% completed BOTW! I defeated Calamity Ganon afterwards to top it all off. What can I say more about this game? It's a masterpiece, one I'll definitely revisit many more times. I still have Master Mode to 100% after all...

this weekend im going to try to finish 100%ing donkey kong bananza! i beat the game last week and was blown AWAY. also will be playing some cool nlifers mario maker 2 levels and maybe make one myself, and im craving splatoon…hmmm….
also of course mario kart world with family! i need to get the jamboree dlc to switch the party games up

The battery on my OG Switch died; it fully charges in about 10 minutes and fully depletes in about 2. This is less than ideal for a system I use equally in docked and handheld mode. I decided to get a replacement and opted for the Switch 2. Backwards compatibility FTW! Given the higher price for the OG Switch in the Americas, the new generation seemed the way to go. Donkey Kong twisted my arm and Samus is looking good up ahead.

As an aside, Costco offered the best deal: the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle and a 12-month NSO expansion pass membership for $525 pretax (this would cost $550 elsewhere). Donkey Kong Bananza is $63 (vs $70 elsewhere).

So, this weekend, I'll be alternating between Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza; I am thoroughly enjoying both. I didn't see MKW as a console seller until I played it. I also downloaded the Switch 2 upgrades for Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and No Man's Sky, so I might check those out as well.

On Switch 2, UFO50 and I'm playing Vainger and its awesome. Im probably close to the tail end here. I got 4 mods, 8 shields, 2 additional clones, and i think 2 of the 4 main keys so far? Fiddling with the mods and making them your shields, gun, or gravity jumps are so fun.

I'm also playing Yoshis Island. Im on world 4 and while its good, its probably my least favorite yoshi game. I really like woolly world and crafted world.

Probably the only Switch game I'll be on this weekend is a Ring Fit Adventure session. Otherwise, enjoying Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Transformers Devastation and Street Fighter 6 on other platforms.

I'm about 175 turns into an amazingly fun Civ VI run as The Netherlands. Teddy Roosevelt inexplicably messed with us in the Medieval Era, and I've smacked him into bankruptcy with relentless military pressure. Meanwhile, my plucky Dutch citizens are happily filling the waterways with polders and dams.

Finally got UFO 50. Only played 12 games so far and it’s amazing. Hoping to at least try all 50 this weekend and figure out which ones I want to invest my time in first.

Hoping to beat Midnight Walk. We're progressing apace in Baldur's Gate 3, mostly embarrassing ourselves with bad rolls.
I'm hoping to get back to DK Bananza this weekend, too, after a decently long hiatus while I wrapped up some of my other 2025 games.

Haters be @#$%ed—I'm having a ball with Drag x Drive

Going to visit my cousin and her family today so I won’t be gaming as much as usual this weekend but I will try lol. Was able to play the super robot wars Y demo which came out of nowhere. Rare to see that from this series and easily accessible in the west. It’s not a bad game at all but I am not crazy about the story and characters much. Don’t think I will get this one for a long while. Better go play older super robot games. The other games I am playing still remain The same.

Xenoblade chronicles X - on chapter 8 but finishing up some affinity missions first.

Donkey Kong bananza - I am in sublayer 301 kinda of lol.

Fire emblem the sacred stones NSO - on chapter 12 now playing in the Eirika route.

Zero time dilemma on 3DS - still working on it. Ugh

I went to try TotK on Switch 2 to see the improvements, and got sucked in and played through the whole thing. Still have the Zelda itch, I’m playing through BotW. I only played it once upon launch, so it’s nice to go through again-but forgot how TotK improved almost every aspect of the game for me.

Meanwhile, DK and Bravely Default are still waiting for me with saves just like 5 hours in on both. And UFO50 looks so intriguing! I’m set for a couple months!

Main focus continues to be Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Played about 30 hours, just completed the festival play, no idea how far through I am or how long to go! Feel like the story hasn't even truly opened up yet, we do seem to be building up to something bigger soon.

I've made a start on Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed, so I'll likely try and get the first couple hours of that done today. Intrigued by the beginning, no idea where they are going with it...

After completing my first ever playthrough of Donkey Kong Country last week (good fun!), my next NSO retro game is a first ever playthrough of Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Tried to begin this back in February, but got distracted away from it, so began again for a proper attempt.

Fell quite deeply in love with Sea Of Stars last week. It's not perfect sure, but it's gotten closer to conjuring my fondly remembered joy of childhood rpg exploration than any other game has in a pretty long time. I've played a fair few thoroughly decent role players and had a good time, but this has just clicked that little bit more. It's ridiculously charming, looks lovely, sounds wonderful and just lots of genuine fun, really.

Yesterday I just finished The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine DLC! It was a fantastic experience! Almost wish it was a little longer lol. Admittedly, I thought it started kind of slow compared to Hearts of Stone, but once it picked up, it was incredible! I think in the future I may revisit this and play the base game and DLCs back to back.

As for what I'll play next...I haven't decided yet...still trying to figure that out lol.

Working through the final section of Is This Seat Taken?, which does ramp up a bit in difficulty in the later sections. Currently on holiday with the kids so we’ve also been playing Minecraft and the Skywalker Saga in tabletop mode on the Switch OLED.

Angry Birds (Windows Phone) - The defacto time waster is back and I'm wasting my time playing it.

Gears POP! (Android) - Still watching my YT LP.

Battleship (Windows Phone) - Still a blast to play(pun intended). But I still prefer the tactile feel of the actual board game myself.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night (PS4 version on PS5): Game completed, all trophies obtained.
Fatal Fury City of the Wolves (PS5): Finished Arcade mode with Kevin.
Bloodborne (PS4 version on PS5): Defeated Ebrietas (Isz Root Dungeon) and obtained my first Abyssal Blood Gem.
Devil May Cry 5 (PS5): Dante Must Die difficulty unlocked.

With my focus on the Sega Genesis, I’ve made it through my sixth game this month! Playing the Knuckles portion of the locked on Sonic & Knuckles was quite the delight and surprise! I had done a bit of research deciphering the differences of this “add on” vs the original Sonic the Hedgehog where I kept seeing hints about a level called Sandapolis. It did not disappoint ! Even though it plays much slower with the echidna, I found the level design & the bosses thrilling. The sequence & levels that followed were chefs kiss

I can tell you I am not playing Madden.

I beat Majora's Mask on NSO, collecting all the masks (but nowhere close to all heart pieces.) I beat it on the N64 25 years ago but never finished the Anju and Kafei quest. Experiencing it again, I don't blame myself for that, because it's quite annoying how the easy it is to mess up the final part and have to start the whole damn 3-day cycle over again. So much better with save states. Amazing, legendary game but there were some frustrating choices made there.

I also finished DK Bananza. "Finished" with quotes, I should say, because I only got some ~430 bananas. I guess there are hundreds more to go?! I'll probably play this here and there when I am bored but I doubt I will 100% it. Great game with an amazing ending. Doesn't quite beat out Mario Galaxy or Odyssey for me in terms of sheer platforming joy.

Picked up Cyberpunk. It's neat! I kinda wish I could experience it on a huge screen running on a high-end PC but for now in my life it will need to be hand-held. I'm enjoying experiencing the world even if I'm not picking up on every subtlety of the plot just yet - there are so many people and places and factions and the in-game encyclopedia is absolutely nuts (do I really need detailed descriptions of the history of EVERY car and weapon?)
In my mind this game was more of an immersive sim like Deus Ex but so far it seems more like a GTA-like with a few story choices here and there. The style and atmosphere is extremely impressive.

I have FINALLY finished my 200 hour play through of persona 5 royal. Absolutely adored the game and the ending and whilst I will miss being in that world with those characters I feel a sense of relief to have finished it and try something new.

Since then, Fantasy life i has got me in a headlock. I’ve owned it less than a week and have sunk 30 hours in already. Had the first one on 3ds, which I enjoyed, but this one has got me hook line and sinker.

I’m on holiday and it’s my birthday so happy days, been getting up extra early before my wife to play it haha.

Very busy - but great! - weekend as promised last time (concert + other goings-on), so very little traditional gaming. I'm in the home stretches of both Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and Ys IX: Monstrum Nox though!

Fantasy Life I is basically Fantasy Life + ACNH + Zelda botw (for the Ginormosia map) so it's a perfect combination of Chibi Action RPG with fanciness of Animal Crossing New Horizons style + Huge world of Ginormosia that looks like in Zelda botw.

I just gave my reverse curse a try - if I leave a game alone for a while, I get better at it.

Hadn’t been on Mario Kart World for a week or so, having discovered the update hadn’t changed much imho, certainly not in the CPU drivers. You still drive Balls-Out™, drift like you’re in Burnout and throw tricks and grinds like you’re Tony Hawk, and the CPUs will go full Ikaruga on your ass.

And then I thought… what if I didn’t drive full aggro? What if they only go after you if they see a threat - like the Borg?

So I tried it.

By this time I was in the second half of 150cc; just Leaf, Lightning and Special to go. No fast starts, we all know now you get better items if you hang back. Fight like hell to get into first of course, but from there… drive clean. Don’t trick, grind, drift, even be frugal with your items; juggle a shell or banana, sure, or a horn if you’re lucky, but don’t use them until in extremis. Get your coins full, naturally, but that’s it; keep the hammer down, don’t take risks you aren’t 150% sure of, and play it safe.

And boy howdy hey, whaddya know, it only bloody works doesn’t it. Bear in mind that in all previous iterations of the series, I suck at 150cc…

Special: got snarled up in the pipes on Mario Circuit a few times, but I was consistently on the podium. Couple of Silvers before getting a 2-star Gold. Across all three tries, I managed to win each race at least once.

Trying to get in some Tales of Graces f Remastered this weekend. If the Xillia leaks turn out to be true, I want to make sure I finish Graces by the time it comes out so I can hop in without any regrets. Got in a bit of The World Ends With You on my 3DS, I've owned it for a year but haven't touched the DS version really (Played Final Remix a while ago, love that game), so decided to play some this weekend.

Metal Arms, Heretic w mods, and Pipistrello.

So far I have played and finished Unmetal, a Metal Gear parody game and just bought the Turok Trilogy on Switch. You can get all 3 games for 15 bucks on the eshop right now, I am enjoying playing through Turok 1 so far.

@tgt Demon's Souls is great, and I hope you end up getting into it!

If you do, I recommend trying out Dark Souls. The remastered version is on Switch and PS4. It's easily one of my favorite games ever, taking everything good about Demon's Souls and putting it in a world that feels connected (with shortcuts to both new and previously visited discoverable, giving it a metroidvania type feel). No other FromSoft game has matched the magic of the world of Dark Souls for me.

I just got my first Switch and I'm playing Breath of the Wild for the first time! I managed to avoid most spoilers, so I just keep getting caught off guard by the innovation. It's amazing, the number of things they threw out from the older games, the things I didn't expect them to borrow from other games, and the things they just straight up invented. I'm enjoying it so much!

Continuing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Need to return the travel medallion to Robbie. Gotta get back to Akkala, pardon, Sokkala archipelago. I just might be able to return to the depths below Zora Domain, up and around back to Hebra depths. Then... I'll ponder punishing two King Gleeoks (maybe 3 including the depths), and at least 3 depths arenas for some good Lynel clashes. Soon Ganondorf... very soon...

I'll be playing DK Bananza. The game is absolutely fantastic so I'm taking my time with it.

Cyberpunk 2077. Such a bless on Switch 2.

I've been playing the BF6 beta, what a jolly good time!
I did finally buy a Switch 2 (at a nice discount), just waiting for it to arrive. Going to pick up DK and a pro controller tomorrow, looking forward to it!

@Whirlwound I just finished all GPs with three star and can tell you it was MUCH harder than any other iteration of MK I’ve owned. I enjoyed the challenge but at the same time I’ve been playing MK for 25 years!

@Tasuki man that first movie… I still love it. Our Dad (R.I.P.) used to work away in England and he brought us home a VHS with Sponge written on it. I don’t know what that was all about, but it was a terrible copy of the Turtles movie but we LOVED it. ‘Man I LOVE being a Turtle!’ 🤪

I beat all nitro cups in mk wii using the wii zapper so I'll try the retros next.

That clean-driving tactic really does work though. I had a hell of a job on getting through the early 150cc GPs thanks to the ridiculous difficulty pre-update (£&%#ing Lakitu!!) and it’s still far from a walk in the park now - but to go from that to two first-try wins means there’s at least something to it.
