I hadn't heard of that one before, seems like it could be interesting.. until I saw that dreaded word Multiplayer!

If it's gonna be anything like No Man's Sky, then the multiplayer is an extra feature for those who want it, not an essential part of the experience. I've clocked over 200 hours of playtime in NMS without ever trying the multiplayer, and it's still one of my favourite games of the last 10 years.

News of the day suggests that Little Nightmares III (Japanese box art) will be an actual physical release on Switch 2. Could this be third party physical release # (what is it now?)....6?

@Magician
I thought there were only 2 physical third-party releases? Cyberpunk and Rune Factory?

@Magician Actually the listing on the Japanese Amazon is suggesting that it will be a key-card for Japan.

Just going by this info here.

BUT it might be a full on physical in the US and EU! Which is good news for Elden Ring!!!

I think their Switch 2 physical of Tamagotchi Plaza is all on cartridge, but it is a mid-gen release.

Publisher Marvelous have been going the extra mile in the west. Story of Seaons: Grand Bazaar and Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion were announced during the launch presentation and both were confirmed to be on cartridge. Sonic Crossworlds is assumed to be on cartridge as well, though not confirmed.

That's a bummer.

Switch 1 version it is then.

And it is confirmed for the Switch 2: A key card

Most unfortunate.

On a side note, I see that the Switch 1 version of Raidou Remastered is getting review-bombed on AmazonNA because customers are leaving negative feedback intended for the Switch 2 version.

Switch 2 game key-cards are doing some quality collateral damage to Switch 1 releases out here.

It's interesting to see Ubisoft to bury themselves even further by having Outlaws as a Game-Card release.

Ubi are fast approaching their swansong, by design, it seems.

@UndockedActionFemme It's 100 percent by design. The Ubisoft name has too much negativity tied to it to be sustainable. It seems like they're trying to dump everything valuable into that new venture with Tencent and abandon ship.

Tencent IS code for "abandon ship".

Absolutely disgusted that they inherited the System Shock brand.

That's why there's no System Shock 3.

@UndockedActionFemme I don't know much about system shock, but if it involves hating on Ubisoft and/or tencent, I'm here for it lol.

System Shock is among the earliest OGs of survival horror.

It's basically one of the very early titles that would inspire Alien Isolation and Resident Evil.

Ubisoft were never involved - it was the brainchild of Looking Glass Studios, and Warren Spector (Deus Ex fame), who are now long defunct. There was going to be a System Shock 3 under Tencent without Warren's input. I'm glad the project fell through.

Not so much Ubisoft hate, but plenty for this femme to hate on Tencent

@UndockedActionFemme Ah I see the scenario. Yeah that's some scumbag behavior. It's so annoying when corporations who don't respect an IP end up in control of it.

Same with the Duke Nukem franchise, there's no going back. I'm open to it being a thing of the past.

Inti Create's next game, Majogami, the Japanese release will be on a physical cartridge.

Shown at the end of the trailer.

@Magician
I have to assume you’re right and Majogami will be a conventional cartridge (not game key) based on the MRP: JPY 9,300 for the standard edition! Given that typical full retail price for games in Japan have been JPY5800—7800, They wouldn’t DARE charge that much for a game key! So good news, I guess??

For reference, the latest physical Switch Inti Creates titles I bought were Umbraclaw (JPY4900) and Card en Ciel (JPY5280), so 9,000 yen is a big increase!
