I wish they would do something to adapt the pointer controls better for traditional controllers. Galaxy in 3D All-Stars doesn’t feel nearly as good as on Wii due to controls, Wiimote was great for this kind of game.

I already have the Wii version, both of them and they are not the best 3D platformer Mario games in my opinion.
The multiple lives back to 4 or 5 everytime I load the game just turned me off.
Even I have finished the first game, it was unpleasant to finish the game.
Don't think I want to revisit the first game, still on the fence to continue the second game.

If they ever go on sale I will, otherwise it's too pricey for what looks like a fairly basic port.

Nintendo have become insanely stingey and consumer unfriendly in recent years. Under the success of the Switch brand, they've changed. Less value for money in all of their products for one. Major games feel like they're being made with bloated budgets that other developers can't afford, in the same way that big brand Hollywood movies from Disney and Pixar do.

3D All Stars was already gross and egregious. People called it out, but it was a massive success regardless. This is even worse though. Screw off, Nintendo. I'm keeping my money.

Galaxy being one-third of a $60 collection five years ago and one-half of a $70 collection today implies that either it was worth way more than 64 and Sunshine combined or Galaxy 2 is worth $50. So silly.

I will get the Bundle. I had 3D All Stars and loved Galaxy more then everything, and then lost it. To have the opportunity to get both games is wonderful!

Yeah, I know, the price. But still, I'll see it as getting one of my favorite games back, and with the sequel attached.

Took them 5 years to finally bring over Galaxy 2 and they're charging double the price. I think I'll pass.

It was briefly available for just over £40 (£42/£43 can’t remember) yesterday so it it comes up again I guess I will get it. (Totally sell 3D All Stars though as it will no longer have any value to me).

The fact they are in 4k is worth it in my opinion. The Wii version always looked terrible.

It’s expensive for 2 very old games with little new content but I’ve always wanted to play these games so I’ll purchase them. Plus it’s a real physical and not key card BS

I think its a no brainer. Nintendo used lot of effort to enchant the games to modern standarts, yet they sell them for half the price of new game. This is why I love Nintendo, they are still the only one of big three thats not money hungry corporation.

I have Galaxy 1 and 2 for the Wii, and I can still play them on my Wii U. I also have Mario 3D All Stars. So, initially, I thought this new bundle was way too expensive. But hey, it gets stuck in your head, and now I just have to have it. Galaxy 1 too, because otherwise it wouldn't feel complete. I think it's stupid of me, haha.

I am ofcourse going to buy it. I do also still have the 3D collection, but that lacks SMG2 and doesn't have higher resolution on Switch 2.

I will be getting the download version ofcourse.

I’ll get the physical bundle for the collector in me who fell in love with the OG Switch.

The price at my local retailers is abhorrent to me, but I’ll pinch my nose and fork over the cash this one time. As the Switch-gen comes to an end I’m happy to have almost every game I’d want from it on my shelf - and due to the general price-hike on games lately, the new gen is gonna be really lean in comparison. So I’ll treat myself one last time, even if I already own the Wii and digital WiiU editions of both these games already.

I will stick to the original releases. They are cheaper and look much better on a CRT, instead of a 4k burn-in-LED television.

Was £41,99 on shopto yesterday so preordered. Although has gone up to £49.99 now.

I might have gone for these, if they'd made a cheap release, but they certainly haven't. The Joycon 2's improved gyro makes Galaxy much more playable in 3D All-Stars than it was on Switch 1, and I think it's reliable enough to finally make Galaxy 2 viable on the platform, but there's just no chance I'd spend that much on it. I'll stick with the Wii games and check out the Rosalina Storybook stuff on YouTube.

I'll buy Mario Galaxy 2 in some form as it's the one 3D Mario I've never played so tbh playing it for the first time as the Switch 2 upgrade in remastered 4k (or 1080p in 120fps) will be pretty much like a new game for me!

I might just buy the physical and then sell it on to CEX when completed then use the voucher towards a used Kirby Air Riders or Metroid Prime 4 in the coming months.

As an aside it's really weird Nintendo didn't mention the free Switch 2 upgrade in the Direct. Once again they do themselves no favours I question what's going on with their PR lately.

Crap, $99 for both here in Canada, and $54 for each game on their own. I finished #1, so maybe it would be smart to buy SMG2 if I take the plunge. These should be $39.99 max each.

I mean, I bought Metroid Prime Remastered and loved it, but the HD graphics didn't really make the game experience any better. The same will probably ring true here if I go for SMG remakes.

I have 3D All Stars so Galaxy 1 will have to be a significant improvement in visuals. Then probably, yeah. But it will be like a quadruple dip for me for that game!

Both Galaxy games make me motion sick unfortunately, but even if they didn't, I would not pay those prices to get the games. 50€ maximum for both would be acceptable, but 70€? That's too expensive for upscaled Wii Ports, even if they have some QoL features.

You don’t even own the console any more; they can remotely brick it any time. I don't have 3D All Stars because I don't like much 64 and Sunshine, but the Galaxys are some of my favorite platformers, so YES, I'll be getting them... eventually. When they're on sale lol, I'm not paying that much for them, I'm not so desperate.

No, but the controls did. I didn't remember how the game played back on GC, it's way better now. They did a great job, and I hope they do the same here with these games (adjust the weird Wii controls to the modern standards).

I'll get the collection. I played the first Galaxy in the 3D collection and it was the only game I really loved playing. I was going to pick up 2 by itself but for $30 I can get the first one and not have to have the 3D collection installed.

I for one am extremely happy this package exists and will be buying it day 1 because these are two of my favorite games ever made and $70 is worth it to play them with modern touches.

@87th Please excuse me if I have this wrong, but isnt this the same thing as the Zeldas and Kirby Switch 2 editions? Those are native Switch games. Heck, the cart even works in the Switch 1 model.

Undoubtedly right away. I love 3D Mario games on the Switch 2, they look and play incredibly well and these are games I never beat back in the day.

I really want to, but the price is too hard to swallow here. I'll wait until I can at least find it for just a little bit cheaper. I still have the Wii versions anyway if I really want to play them, and the 3D All Stars version for Galaxy 1.

I've written before about how I think my time with Mario is over. I've bought all the games but Odyssey left me with a strange feeling. I bought the 3D Allstars pack, haven't finished any of the games and realised that I'm not really enjoying 3D Mario games anymore.

And now with this I'm thinking back to Mario Galaxy 2 on the Wii. I bought it as soon as I saw it (along with that weird VHS) and I don't recall ever finishing it. There's a chance I've got it from the WiiU eShop as well.

So no, this isn't for me.

But I hold on to hope that they do something to pull me back in.

I still have my WiiU hooked up and when in Wii mode I set to 480p and use my mClassic to upscale. Still looks pretty good even on my massive 4k TV. The mClassic does wonders with 480p intelligent upscaling coupled with cartoonish visuals. So no need for me to get these.

I almost never buy ports of games I already own, and I see no reason to make an exception for these. I love the games and will definitely replay them sometimes but I can easily do that on the Wii and save myself 60 quid.

I’ll pick up Mario Galaxy 2 at the least, since I’ve never beaten it. The amiibo however are Day1. Despite the amount of amiibo I have and Mario amiibo there are, I’ve yet to get any amiibo of Mario (other than the cereal).

@Kiz3000 The distinction is a little technical and annoying, but essentially, it's about how the Switch 2 runs the software. The Switch 2 Editions run the games as Switch 2 software with full access to its internal hardware, while Super Mario Galaxy runs as Switch 1 software, with a higher resolution cap. The distinctions are mainly seen from a programming perspective, but for the user, it's mainly represented by which console logo appears when you launch the game.

Nope. I will play in on my computer, using LEGAL emulation and my LEGALLY dumped copies of Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, in 4K resolution using a LEGAL 4K texture pack, using my ORIGINAL Nintendo Wii Remote and the Dolphin Bar.

Everything is getting more expensive. Just bought concert tickets to see a band I've seen everytime they came over, and the tickets are each time more expensive.

I love the Galaxy games and have pre-ordered the physical as soon as I saw it was possible. I don't even know how much they're charging me for it. I'll get the Mario Amiibo for sure and likely the Rosalina one too for my daughter.

I feel for people on a budget, but I've been there, so I'm really glad I now have the luxury not to have to bother with this for the few little things I like and care about.

I was going to preorder it despite the fact that I already have Galaxy on SM All Stars 3D, but I changed my mind when I read about the price. As we say here, Nintendo really peed outside the toilet this time.

@Qwiff exactly the same as me. I'm also waiting for the S2 revision to come out. Nothing I've seen so far makes me think I NEED a S2. I like Metroid but I'm not sold on the open world bits (the biking through the desert looked awful) MK looks naff in comparison to 8 and I don't like some of the decisions they have made. DK looks cool but I can't justify a console for a sole game and everything else i want i have or have had on my PS5. Not to mention needing a dedicated, expensive memory card, no OLED screen and the whole key card fandango and the price of their games and Nintendo have really not sold me the S2 as of yet. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for all the people that love the S2 but for me, I'm just not there yet.

You know what would actually be worthy of 70 bucks? If Nintendo made a proper All-Stars 3D (not that lazy slap 3 roms and call it a day fomo) and included Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and the two Super Mario Galaxies with the first two having their graphics remade in the Galaxy engine.

@the_beaver The controller experience is subjective. I played Metroid Prme when it came out and found it perfectly utilized the GameCube controls. For example, that giant green A button was awesome for shooting. It made it feel more arcade-like in that i could mash that button at will, whether in anxiety or frustration, just like an arcade game. Normally first person games use triggers to shoot, which is a lot like a gun, yes, but loses the satisfaction you get from mashing. No rapid fire and all that just mash mash mash.... perfect! The trigger use for spider ball was genius as well. Anyhow, the game was designed for that controller, hence why it's still considered the best configuration for that game. It takes a little effort to get used to, but it's like learning manual transmission: once you get used to it, you love it (I hate automatic). The next best controls, I find, are the wii but it's not the same game with those controls. Anyhow, as I said, controls are subjective.

I do admit, though, for SMG the portable nature of the remasters could be a game changer (total pun). I am not 100% convinced the gyro controls will be so great (if utilized). I tried to use the switch controls for pointing and such on Metroid Prime and it was too awkward.

Definitely says something that games this old still look and play better than a lot of new stuff. I vote with my wallet for Nintendo to keep making games like this that are vibrant and fun with a dash of heart which never seem to dull with age. Hopefully this + the movie means Galaxy 3 in some form is going to happen.

Yeah, it's expensive. Gaming with Nintendo has always been an expensive part of the hobby. It's like I can get dirt cheap run of the mill vinyls all day but when I wanted that repress of Nachthymnen it ran me $60.

I shouldn't, but I will. I voted for "as soon as possible" but there's every likelihood that I'll pounce on the bundle day one.

I generally understand Nintendo on their pricing for ports of old games. I don’t like it but when a game like Skyward Sword HD releases and it’s full price I can’t really fault them when the demand is there and people willingly pay the asking price.

This however is a genuine spit in the face when they’ve already released Galaxy on Switch in an arguably more robust package. They could have re-released 3D All Stars with Galaxy 2 included, giving those who missed out last time a chance to get it while offering the sequel as a paid addition for those who own it (and not for the ludicrous price they’re charging now- £10-£15 would have been fair).

Of course I know why they’re doing it like they are because they know people will buy it but not me. I’d rather just play it on Wii or emulate it on Steam Deck than pay for any of the options they’ve gone with.

I’ll get Galaxy 2 physical since I have the first one in the 3D All-Stars release and I don’t love the games enough to warrant a double dip.

Will do for sure. But, willing to hang on so I only have to pay £35 - £40 on the physical. It still shocks me the difference in price between digital and physical. Using Mario Wonder pre-order as an example, on digital was £49.99 I think and I pre-ordered my physical for £33 and received on the friday morning of release.

It is good that they are there for people who haven't played them but I have no need to revisit the games even though they are both great.

Happy to wait for the next 3D Mario as I got my 3D fix from Donkey Kong Bananza which to me was very Mario in a good way.

As for amiibo I only collected the Smash ones so I'm glad that has ended.

I trust these will be nice HD remasters of 2 great games, but yowza, that price really is disappointing. I think that with Air Riders and this latest Direct batch of games, Nintendo has made it clear they’re abandoning US$60 and making US$70 their S2 game standard price point. This 2-pack seems extra expensive since I and many others here just bought Galaxy on Switch for the 35th Anniversary in the 3D All-Stars pack.

In the end, I’ll probably order a physical copy. At least this sticker shock is balanced out by my joy and relief that Hades II is getting a full physical release, for a more reasonable US$50.

Mario Galaxy in handheld, using gyro (holding shoulder button when it comes to ball and racing levels to keep pointer centred) and touch controls with stylus on the blowing & sling levels, is my favourite way to play the game. Really looking forward to doing Galaxy 2 like that

i'll get them because I love these games and I want them on the system I actively use; i'm looking to minimize the stuff I have and endless game consoles just add to my option paralysis.
The amiibos are radically overpriced- I want them, but only if their prices are lower in Asia (where I live). They usually are- what with the impact of tariffs not factored in.
Still. The prices Nintendo charges for these games stings, and I'm skipping other games because of this, and just buying fewer overall.

I think I'll be getting the cartridge because I want a cart copy of SMG2. Only other copy I have is on WiiU on a rickety external hard drive, so I want to get a more secure package that's future-proofed a bit.

I need more convincing. I pre-ordered 3D All-Stars for Switch and regretted it once I understood the games were emulated.

Luckily the game was easily to sell and I got all my money back, but I won’t make the same mistake again.

I would like to know if the games run natively on the hardware and play without issues. I have Galaxy 1 on Wii but I’ve never played 2. I’d likely just go for the digital version of 2 in the future IF it plays well on both Switch 1 & 2.

Preordered for £42.85 before the price went up just incase that happened. Even at £42.85 it feels like it’s too much. Will think about it but I’m not prepared to pay any higher. Will stick with the originals if it ends up cancelled.

I'm a bit disappointed in how Nintendo approached these games in the post-Switch 2 era. To port them to Switch 1 and have a little upgrade pack for Switch 2 means the potential of a truly beautiful remaster is off the table. Highlighted by the fact they didn't mention the Switch 2 upgrade in the direct. I see little love put into these wonderful games. That, combined with the price, is dampening my excitement.

@Telcontyr Honestly, if they’re new to you then you are in for an absolute treat. Combined they are a long and satisfying experience, even in 2025. I’d almost say ‘worth it’.

I think Galaxy 2 should've been in 3d all stars to begin with. Seeing as I have that, to get the improvements Nintendo is basically asking me to buy Galaxy 1 again and for a higher price.

I bought 3D All Stars years ago. I'm not buying this. The prices are ridiculous. These games shouldn't be no more than $20 apiece. They aren't full on remasters. @arabiansanchez I was disappointed with Odyssey, but always heard great things about the Galaxy games which also look super unique and innovative in comparison. Looking forward to trying them out.

i already own galaxy one on my wii u, if i want to finish the game id either boot up my wii u or dolphin. im not interested in playing galaxy 2

I'll stick with the original releases for now. The HD coat of paint is nice, but the games look eye catching enough already. I might consider at least Super Mario Galaxy 2 should my Wii U kick the bucket however. It's my only means of playing Wii titles. No plans to grab the amiibo.

For anyone who hasn't played these, please do! Super Mario Galaxy is my favorite 3D Mario, with Galaxy 2 at a close second.

At $70 price point, I’ll be holding off on a bunch of upcoming Nintendo releases (Metroid, Air Riders, Age of Imprisonment, etc) until there is a sale (I’ll wait years if need be). I’ll make exceptions for mainline Zelda and Mario Games. Galaxy 1 was one of my favorite games of all times, and I never played Galaxy 2. I hate the price but I really want both on my Switch library so I will be getting them. I will feel icky doing so and my frustration with Nintendo is only gonna get worse with this purchase. But I’ll still pull the trigger on this one…

Collecting star bits and controlling yoshi’s tongue requires a good pointer. If you watch the trailer the pointer is often inactive and not collecting star bits. That is concerning to me. Whenever I want to replay a Galaxy game I do it on my WiiU

I'm getting Super Mario Galaxy 2 as soon as it's released. I don't care about the $40 price. I'm not gonna whine about it being more expensive than the Wii U version. I'm not that stingy and I'm not going to be like "it's $40 for an individual game?!" I'm not one of those complainers. Galaxy 2 was the game I had on the Wii and I had a blast with it so I will be happy to play this game again on my Switch 2.

@Yoshi3 Fair enough but how are they "forcing" you to pirate it? That's your choice you're making instead of other options such as waiting for it to go on sale (yes, their games go on sales both physically and digitally) buying a used copy for cheaper or simply not buying it and playing other games.

I wish there was physical Galaxy 2 by itself considering I already have the Switch version of Galaxy 1 via 3D All Stars but I'll get the bundle so I can have a physical version of Galaxy 2 on Switch. UK retailers usually drop the price of Switch 1 games pre-launch like how DKC Returns HD, XCX Definitive Edition and Legends Z-A were all £43 while Nintendo's pricing was £50.

I have both Wii versions. I also have 3D All Stars (physical). I still kind of want these, but I think I’ll hold off in hopes of a bit of a sale. I’d want digital now though so sale may be unlikely. If I end up deciding that I am going to spend the time to really play through them again, I will probably buy these versions though. $70 seems like the new default price Nintendo is going with so it doesn’t really surprise me. They are two great games.

SMG1 for me because I've played SMG2 already on wii but never got the chance to play the 1st game 🎮 so I'll probably pick it up when there's a decent enough sale going on for it hopefully.

I think the fact they are remasters with full texture updates is a yes from me, though my current finances means i should get Galaxy 2 first, then get Galaxy 1 later when i can afford it (the extra $10 is fine given it doesnt cripple my bank account by buying the bundle)

Dudes justifying 40$ upscale of 15yo+ games is why Nintendo sell is at 40$.

On PC, I play at 1080. I buy new card I play at 4K …all for 0$ extra software wise.

Way overpriced for some upscaled ports. These should have been remade on the level of Spyro and Crash's remakes. Or at the very least just sell them for half the cost.

What makes it more annoying was how the Wii U shop version went for like 15 bucks each, and you can still find physical copies of each game for about the same price on ebay or your local retro game store.

These are two of the best games ever. That being said, they're old games and $70 is obscene. Prob pass.

I already have 3D Mario All Stars so no need for Mario Galaxy 1. 4K is a nice upgrade but ityt not enough to justify the premium price for both games. I'll be getting Galaxy 2 though

For the same price (before tax), you could get Hollow Knight: Silksong, UFO 50, and all five mainline Shovel Knight games via Treasure Trove.

When you load the game after you don't play them, all my multiple lives of Mario suddenly back to 4 or 5.
That was suck to not able all my multiple lives after working hard to get them by farming method.
Some of the stages of Mario Galaxy are really hard and not even fun to replay so I need tons of multiple lives to keep survive on that stages. The games just reverting all my cumulated multiple lives back to 4 or 5 everytime I load the game, how will I getting fun by this gimmick?

somewhere in between the "price" and "need more convincing" category, since for me the main reason why i would want to get the game for switch would be the option to play it handheld, though going by what i heared about galaxy 1 on switch the handheld controls didnt sound ideal, and while i definitely wasnt a fan of the motion control stuff on wii i did hear that they were handled by the touchscreen on switch in handheld which sounded like a worse option, and with galaxy 2 having stuff like the yoshi controls heavily relying on the pointer it sounds like that could be a nightmare on switch.

in the end while galaxy and especially galaxy 2 were some of my overall fave Mario games it sounds like for me it would be easier to just break out the wii or wiiu for if i got the urge to play again, since i found the visual style held up will even in standard definition and the games were already 60fps.

I really loved the first game when it came out, the presentation was marvellous and the story really had a special kind of magic to it. The second game was also pretty good even though I finished it quickly.
After going back a couple of years later I figured that I really didn’t like the controls anymore. They felt stiff compared to 64 and Sunshine and leaving out the dive-jump took away a lot of the fun that I had when moving Mario around.

As I intend on getting this game physically, I will bite.

They know they can charge this for the best 3D Mario games ever made, especially with the 4k upgrade. It’s not right but it’s what the people want

I'm weak enough to preorder a physical copy, even if I already have SM3DAS, but I'm not so weak that I'll pay $80 for pieces of plastic when I could just add the .bin amiibo files to my allmiibo. Nintendo really needs to consider selling amiibo cards alongside these figures, just so there's an affordable way to access whatever BS content these things unlock — I'm hoping it'll be like the Cat Mario and Peach amiibo in 3D World, where it's just an invincible Cat Suit or a random power-up, things that could easily be skipped.

I might get galaxy 2. Once I finish the first game, which I have in the 35 year bundle thing. The price seems okay, especially if I enjoy the first enough to be excited for the second.
I don't want to pay for the bundle, as I have the first game, so then its a bit steep.
I realize that Nintendo has to offer what makes the most sense to the largest consumer base, and not always target me in every decision, so no matter what, its okay with me. I'm not so addicted I can't say no without anger.

That said, these are two of my favorite Wii games and being able to play them in 4K on my TV (hopefully with HDR) will be very nice. I’m just in no rush to play them, so I’ll wait for a cheaper way to get the physical edition.

I'll pick 'em up, but I hope they've refined the motion controls compared to how they were for Mario Galaxy in 3D All-Stars. Having to constantly recalibrate the joy-cons got old fast. I hear that this is improved on the Switch 2 for at least some Wii remasters — namely, Skyward Sword — but I'll be playing on the Switch 1 for now.

Without question. I've been yearning for this for ages. I was hoping that our Galaxy 1 saves from 3D All Stars could be transferred to this new version, but seeing as it's essentially a separate piece of software now, I doubt that will happen.

I do wonder though whether there'll be any differences between the 3D All Stars version of Galaxy 1 and this new release (other than, I guess, support for the new amiibo).

Maybe I'm just a sucker, but I'm not half as bothered about this price point as you all. Two of the greatest games of all time, lightly remastered for Switch and Switch 2, with a little new content, at a 2-for-1 price compared to a new release (in Australia, the pricing seems a little gentler at $90 digital). This is not really comparable with the re-release on Wii U because that wasn't an updated version of each game. I'm super excited to finally finish Super Mario Galaxy 2 without the blurry jaggies of old! I was too easily distracted by new releases when this game first came out, and never got through it.

I suspect you will all be much less miserable if you simply accept that Nintendo are arguably the best game developers in the world, and they're in a position to charge whatever price people will pay, because their games are so good. There's a reason Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are still pegged at full price. They're basically perfect, so people will pay it.

My personal experience has been that if I avoid the Black Friday sale syndrome of stockpiling more games than I can actually play, and I focus on deeply enjoying only the very best ones, I can afford to pay what Nintendo is asking, and I have a better time in the end anyway because I’m not spread across half a dozen games at any given time.

@Denoloco That 4K GPU.. how much did it cost? Becuase going from 1080p -> 4K on PC is FAR from $0.

Also increasing render resolution doesn't always improve the game. Often you are going to need 4K textures as well. Which do exist for some games. But most of them you still have to pay for an upgrade. Especially on older games. Most games from < 2010 look terrible in 4K.

@Mz3player No. the Galaxy 5 years ago was just an emulated Wii version. This time it seemingly was built for the Switch. Maybe not a full remaster, but apparently a light remaster with some QoL improvements among other things. Not sure if it is worth 40 bucks, but it’s worth more than the 3D All Stars one.

No, I have Galaxy 1 on my Switch 1 and Galaxy 2 on my Wii U. I don’t think I’m going to transfer my Switch 1 stuff the more time goes by, it’s looking more and more like a legacy system that I keep and hope Nintendo doesn’t force an update to take my digital games away one day.

Galaxy 2 plus the physical Rosalina storybook for me. I already bought Galaxy 1 five times over — three times for the Wii, a fourth time as part of the Wii U Virtual Console, and a fifth as part of Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

1. It appears they ARE full-on remasters. Some new features and lots of updated textures.

2. The Mario Galaxy amiibo are actually an eye-watering $40 each, not merely $30.

So yeah, the prices are insane, but at least the games themselves appear to have more work put into them than the games in 3D All-Stars. And I think they're probably(?) running natively on the Switch rather than emulated.

@h3s it was just south of 43 quid on Saturday afternoon at ShopTo but went up to a bully early evening.

TGC have now got it up for a bully so if you're on Complete Savings it'll set you back 45 quid. That's still steep but as good as it'll get anytime soon if you ask me.

My switch 2 is collecting dust zero new games since DK that i cant just load up on my oled switch. I might just return SW2 to Costco.

I don't care if it's a great game. it was about $10 on the Wii U eShop, and since there isn't any new content other than "4k", it in NO WAY justifies the $40 price tag. And before someone replies with "inflation"... No. Just no. I could see it being $19.99 at most, but asking for $39.99 (or $69.99 for both games) is just plain greed.

If I have the All Stars version, is there any major reason to get this edition of SMG? I'm interested in the new storybook pages but probably not $40 interested. Is the all stars version 1080p?

Realistically, I'll get it eventually, but I'm certainly not in a hurry.
My Wii U still works just fine, and the price really is way too high for what it is.

And Re: Inflation
That means that a greater percentage of my income is going towards things that I need like food and housing, which sharply decreases what I can spend on luxuries like video games. At this point, Nintendo should be glad that I bought a Switch 2 at all, even if my library consists only of Mario Kart and Bananza (/w zero of the 'paid upgrades'), and probably won't get anything new for a good long while.

I'll probably get the 2-pack. Yeah $70 is way too expensive but I have the disposable income and I love both of these games. That said, I have a bunch of other games to play right now so I'll only pick them up when I've run out of other stuff to play, and will also have to wait for reviews to see how well the Wiimote stuff works out.

It's so obvious now that the next 3D mario is galaxy 3 and I am so ecstatic after that direct. Hopefully miyamoto won't be allowed to ruin the story and emotional depth like he did with galaxy 2
