Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Chibi-Robo!: Park Patrol

I honestly had no idea this game existed.

That said I think I lean toward the North American one. Japan has its appeal, but the former better communicates the concept of the series I think.

On this rare occasion, I would call it a draw.

Man, Park Patrol was such a nice small game. A HD remaster remade with Chibi-Robo GameCube graphics would be really nice, but it's definitely never happening.

I had no idea of this game's existence even, either.

That said, they're both not great box arts, but at least the NA one has Chibi in a garden. I guess.

There should be a Walmart label on the NA box...

Technically there should be 3 contenders, because as @N00BiSH says the North American boxart has Walmart label. And the game also had an Australian release.
Even if it is the same art as the NA box, it doesn't have any labels, which would make it a potential 2nd victory for Australia in Box Art Brawl's history.
Please consider updating the poll if it is possible.

In its current state, I refuse to vote for the North American box art (the better one of the 2 current options) because it's not the real one.

Anyway, I believe the reason the Japanese box art has flowers instead of the garden/park background is because of the title, Sakasete! Chibi-Robo!, which roughly translates to Make It Bloom! Chibi-Robo!.
I just learned this yesterday when I was actually thinking about this game for no particular reason. I believe the game is calling me for another playthrough to get ready for the time I get a Switch 2 and play the original. Yes, I have it in my collection thanks to a second-hand copy that was available in 2010-2011 in Blockbuster/Game Rush when we still used to have them in Mexico.

N/A. Fits the vibe of the park nature more.

north america!! the grass is kinda ugly but its the best out of the two! i didnt know this game existed it looks great

I picked the JA version since the background looks nicer compared to the NA version ugly grass texture in the background but that's really not saying that much because I honestly think the duel is a draw since neither are really that special.

North American version is more colorful and playful

I went with NA since I agree with the "show, don't tell" reasoning...but then I read the comments. If that's truly the Aussie box art, then it takes my vote! I had no idea there was a logo flub with the NA version since I had no clue this game exists. This reminds me of the IGN Okami watermark debacle.

Again, I wish there was a neither option. Both suck.

Really loved this game when it came out. And I love those pixelated DS 3D graphics! I picked the North American boxart, but like others have said, it actually has a Walmart logo on it.

Both are somewhat weak. I suspected the NA version would be the main vote getter this time because of the grass, but the grass looks weird to me. I understand what they were going for, but it doesn't look cohesive to me. The flower in the corner seems disconnected from the scene, which is not what I think was intended. The logo takes up way too much space in a bad spot. It's squeezing everything else down. It's not great composition.

Japan's is not great. It's also not cohesive with all the different elements, but it's not going for cohesion as much as the western grassy cover. Composition is better overall, and that's my deciding factor today. Japan for me.

It's close, but I chose Japan because the wall outlets being used as the dakuon in ちびロボ fits a lot more than being used for the "i"s in chibi.

I remember this being readily available in Australia, and for some time as bargain bin fodder, but I turned up my nose at it not knowing that it was a Nintendo property, and the cover looked a little generic to me.

I adore the Japanese art though. I definitely would have been more intrigued had the Aussie cover looked more like that instead.

I'll pick japan's because I like the light and bubbly feel but both are really solid honestly!

I remember seeing this at a Gamestop some 18 years ago and turning my nose up to it because of the Walmart logo. But my wife insisted because it was Chibi-Robo, so we picked it up. I learned quickly never to doubt my wife’s sense. Some of our favorite games have been random discoveries of hers.

As a Finn, to me the Japanese Chibi-Robo! logo has always looked like it reads 'SUOMI', which is what Finland is called in Finnish.

Chose North America this week.

Wasn't this the game doomed to be plastered with a Walmart sticker on the box?
(Which when it failed and Walmart resold the remaining stock to other retailers such as my local Best Buy, it got resold with the sticker covered up.)

@orbots Yeah, it gained a bit of attention when it was first released as GameStop took preorders for the game and then silently canceled them, leaving it until the announcement it was Walmart exclusive for them to learn why.

For me both aren't as great, but you are correct, the US one shows the little Guy in the Park, i go with that^^

I kind of agree with the guy that said Australia should have been included if the US one had the Wal-Mart sticker on it.

I went US but thought this one would be very close. Guess I was wrong.

@Careless_Anouki You swayed me. That is a quite clever usage of the plugs for Japan.

But overall this segment makes me glad to be in the Switch era where our box art is generally good.
