@coolioam I think outlaws has done a much better job compressing data and using lower quality assets.
If you look at Maddens file size in comparison you will understand that you are comparing apples to oranges.

Unfortunately no. Which is a total bummer. I was hoping play my franchise on the PS5 at home then play the Switch on the go but there is no cross-saves or cross-progression. You also cannot play online vs other consoles except Switch 2.

Glad that most seem to enjoy this. Growing up where I did I never really got into or fully understood American football as we call it, but still I have enjoyed some matches of it - looking forward to try this out. Since it plays well and is consistent/smooth (even if no 60fps) I should be a happy camper 🏈

I absolutely love this game on switch 2. I dont care about the fps, utterly irrelevant to me.

Game looks and plays great, much better than last years version on ps5 pro.

Its just a fun game to play.

@SwitchedOn_Games I love Madden and had this version in my cart, until I played my friends copy when he came over. It’s inconsistent frames, and as someone who plays Madden a ton, I cannot have that. So the whole narrative of “you can’t have an opinion you’ve never played it” is flat out wrong.

“Lazy devs” is not a lazy argument at all. Despite me loving this series, these are lazy, iterative titles that deserve time and effort to be put in them. Criticism is good, it makes the end product better.

Also, yes Cyberpunk is a PS4 title, but you know what also was? Madden 25, and there isn’t very much a difference between 25 and 26 visually. Hit 60fps no problem there though. So again, no reason it should be 60 here, as the Switch 2 is more powerful than the PS4.

No reason, lazy and rushed. Simple as that. It doesn’t take an education (despite me having one against your judgment) to come to that conclusion.

@coolioam As good as Cyberpunk is, its years old and was made for PS4. Still a superb port all things considered.

I'm just think for it being feature parity and a modern console game, the visuals and being smooth enough in motion is a decent achievement.

I'll be interested how EA FC 26 turns out as that WAS a bit of a choppy mess at 30fps.

Would I like it to be 60? Sure... but its more than enjoyable.

By the sounds of it, you've not even got it or played it, which really renders your argument moot. Pick it up and try it, you might enjoy it after all :)

@SwitchedOn_Games I do understand how games are made, took multiple classes under my major in college so I like to think I have a basic understanding.

Stop being so damn cocky and realize this is a rush job, and defending EA out of all companies is hilarious. The Series S is able to produce 60fps gameplay, 30fps cutscenes, a system comparable in power to the Switch 2. While the Switch 2 is behind in terms of memory, the Switch 2 has more advanced tech that can pick up the slack and give us a fairly uncompromised version running at 60. You cannot sit here and tell me that that isn’t possible when we have games such s Cyberpunk and Outlaws, way more taxing games, that run at the same frame rate.

@SwitchedOn_Games What are you on about? I gave my reasoning, I want to play the game at 60fps, so I won’t pick this up until this or another version hits that. 40fps isn’t possible on my tv. Do I need to spell it out more or.

Nice update! I have Madden on PS5 & Switch but definitely been playing more often on Switch just do to the ease of playing in handheld. It’s a solid port. Could it be better? Sure. But for the most part, very satisfied.
