Great news! The game is great fun even without the original soundtrack (but of course, a downgrade). It's unfortunate that music licences don't work the same when it comes to games as for films. When they rerelease films for new media (such as streaming), they don't have to renegotiate music licences.

The originals soundtrack is what it made it worth playing.

Makes the game dead to me. Its what made the game work so well in the original. Its like taking the most of the music out of Ocarina of Time and trying to call it the same game.
I would've bought and played this again after the ps3 (version which I still have) but there is literally no point

@TheExile285 I'm thinking a lot of companies just recently got kits. Inticreates announced yesterday they were doing a Switch 2 version for one other games. Also I think one issue has been, smaller companies aside, is that bigger companies did get dev kits but not enough for all their teams.

That's awesome. But it's really unpredictable which games are getting upgrades and the ones that are not.

I know it depends on the developers, but it's just crazy that sometimes AAA devs come with "We don't have dev kits" and some obscure or small devs have Switch 2 version of their games up soon.

I really wish more games got better ports, specially older great games on switch and DEFINITELY most games on coming soon section should have switch 2 versions, but we know how that section is looking. It's improving, slowly but improving.

I'll be an old man but I remember renting this back in the day and thinking it was a sweet rental experience. 6-hour single-player game so it's perfect for that. Would never buy it in a million years.

By the way and again, reminder that according to Tony Gowland from Ant Workshop in an article on this very site [i]In terms of dev kit availability, there has been a similar situation to the OG Switch, which was also like hen’s teeth for a good 6-7 months after launch", not to mention the indisputable fact that we've already seen many between big studios, smaller ones and even indies releasing and/or with upcoming Switch 2 games - again, as much as I feel for those who haven't got dev kits yet, considering the abovementioned I can't help thinking that the situation actually is more or less the same as on Switch and the increase in coverage might just be because there are more interested in Switch 2 from the get-go compared to the original or similar reasons (other than of course unfortunately negativity selling as we keep on seeing when it comes to Switch 2)...

UGH!! But I just finished playing the Switch 1 version on Switch 2 (it then locks at 60FPS). Ah well... Guess I can go back to unlock the remaining costumes in the Switch 2 Edition when it hits then.

@Kuruwin I mean like you said its better than nothing....ill rather buy a switch 1 game physically and pay for the switch 2 upgrades like I did for zelda breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom. I will eventually pay for the kirby forgotten land switch 2 upgrade too. I think square Enix is being crazy with not letting us upgrade switch 1 versions to switch 2 they rather us buy those game key cards for switch 2...my thing is if the game can fit on a cartridge then let us buy it physically

It's not a good solution but it's better than nothing. It's just that we have already seen big players like Square Enix being wildly inconsistent when it comes to upgrade patches and they are not the only publisher who refuses to even have a paid option.

I just don't get it why games like "No Sleep For Kaname Date" don't have one.

I'm not supporting the key card SW2 release so I'm going to have to play the little bit choppier version instead.
