Topic: Nintendo Music App

Favorite thing about having an official Mario Wonder soundtrack is that they gave all the Wonder effects unique names. The pipe wonder is now Bendy-Boing Wonder, the Bulrush one is Stompy-Stampede Wonder, the Metal Mario one is Zappy-Zone, etc., etc.

I just hope xenoblade doesn’t take too long.

...Oh my freakin' gawd, the entire OST for Star Allies is there, dammit Nintendo why do you make your apps so confusing sometimes? I seriously thought you only uploaded like, 40 tracks from this game, I knew something was off. >.<

It is really funny that they still did the "limited soundtrack" thing from their actual soundtrack releases, only to have all the songs anyway.

It kinda makes sense for games with massive soundtracks, because you want to listen to the most notable Mario Odyssey songs in a certain amount of time and only people as weird and bored as me would listen to several hours of video game music, all from the same game, in one go. (I did this twice with Mother 3 and at least twice for Paper Mario:TTYD back in the day)

Strange, it's not available on the Google Play Store for my Chromebook...

Well whatever, as long as all the music is there, listened to some Pikmin 4 and yeah, just HAAAAD to make sure Groovy Long Legs was there. xD

As expected, Nintendo seems to be doing another round of takedowns on YouTube, including songs that aren't even on the app yet. Currently trying to reconstruct my Smash Ultimate music selection...

Hope you all are happy, but I'll take being able to listen to a wider variety of music over using Nintendo's proprietary app any day. And I'm pissed. Not surprised, but very much pissed.

I don't have many songs uploaded on my channel, thankfully they all seem fine, though. But yeah, Nintendo seems to be going a bit overkill with video take downs in general.

Had to do an errand today, so put the download feature to good use today. Ended up listening to Green Greens (Kirby music), the Fire Emblem theme, Gusty Garden Galaxy, and the Star Wolf theme while walking to the store.

Also, the Super Mario Bros. Overworld theme is called Ground BGM. We've been calling it the wrong title the whole time, lol.

Now Nintendo, where is my Tokyo Mirage Sessions soundtrack?!

I wish they could have at least waited till they built up their library before doing a massive takedown. It makes finding stuff that aren’t on there really inconvenient.

@Sunsy I knew it was Ground BGM as I've seen the file name in a Super Mario Bros. OST that I booted up on my PC a long time ago. My PC could run music files off of CD's and I just happened to memorize that track after listening to it on the computer lol. 😎

@Joeynator3000 I try to get around any issues by just leaving most songs in my playlist that I uploaded myself as unlisted. Most of the exceptions aren't even video game songs

I mean perpetually getting music taken down from YouTube is going to be a losing battle.

Like trying to stem flooding with a spoon.

@Dev1024 I think that Super Mario RPG would be possible at somepoint down the line, but I’m not sure how exactly Square/Nintendo would handle it. There’s also one particular track from that game that Nintendo likely wouldn’t have on there.

As for Smash Bros, Melee and 64 would be possible, but after that it gets a bit weird. If they did Ultimate they could just use the songs under the ‘smash bros series’ list of songs.

3D World and ARMS are two which I think deserve to show up sooner rather than later.
Apart from that I really don't mind what they choose, the more the merrier!

Paper Mario soundtrack is a little underrated I reckon.

Very unlikely to happen but I hope they add the Smash remixes and that Beneath the Mask is one of them, it’s legitimately one of the best pieces of Persona 5 music and its not even from the game itself

@Uncle_Franklin Yeah, but it isn't impossible for them to snuff out some soundtracks for a time. For Smash Ultimate, I had to look up each song I wanted to add individually because there's no longer an upload on YouTube that's largely comprehensive, and I couldn't find 2 songs. There was also a recent period of time where the only version of the Fire Emblem: Three Houses soundtrack was an extended one. And I had to upload any Kirby Cafe remixes I wanted myself because there weren't any options on YouTube - there'd been one in the past, but I guess it was too niche for anyone to step up and fill the void.

Worst comes to worst, I'll be downloading Nintendo songs from khinsider and putting them up on my channel unlisted.
