Modernised Delfino Island as an addition to the open world would be fun or crazy Galaxy planets.

Woo finally unlocked Special Cup (free roam owns me). Defo my favorite version of Rainbow Road.

Expect to see? One of the Bananza or Mario Wonder levels (the singing Piranha Plants would be amazing) in Kart Form. Kong/Pauline costumes, Young Pauline added.

Want to see? A Galaxy like stage that goes around a planetoid. Metroid anything.

Really wish you would see even though it would never happen? More hyper-stylized NES-based levels

Not want to see? More straight, flat, all-land paths.

I loved all the verticality of MK8D, I hate that so much of that was lost in MKW.

I love the short way from Peach Stadium to Rainbow Road too. It is so magical.

I suppose I ought to answer my own query...

• I expect to see DKB crossover content. This would include costumes for DK and Pauline, new karts, and possibly a new course or two.
• I want to see either DK Island or Ingot Island as new area to race on, with a brand new Banandium Cup to match! Additionally, having Young Pauline, Void Kong, and K. Rool as new racers would be amazing!
• I really wish to see Luma and Ninji as playable characters! (Even though it would never happen) Also, Diddy, Dixie, Poppy, Grumpy, Cranky, Funky... All the main Kongs really!
• I do not want to see this DLC be paid, unless it is absolutely massive. Even then, I would hope it has free aspects, at the very least!
• I really wish I wouldn't see this game lose out to Air Riders.... (even though it would probably happen)

@Ryu_Niiyama hehe, same here! I adore Free Roam, and I can't explain why. It's just so enjoyable to to chill as I drive around!

@Jhena Magical is the best way to describe it. I was playing handheld (tvs are still in boxes) but my jaw dropped the entire race and leadup to it.

@CaleBoi25 Free Roam really feels like a sandbox platformer that has races tacked on to sell
it as mario kart. I normally don’t noodle in games anymore as I tend to be objective focused especially since my backlog is huge but I just wander, jump
off things and eat yoshi meals. I haven’t even seriously started doing the P or ? blocks yet. Nintendo finally released a Mario Kart that keeps me engaged. Thank you, team!

also i dont think kirby air riders will overshadow MKW in any way, they both have vastly different styles. and mario is mario, people will come back to it no matter what

I agree so much. I was complaining about how disappointed I am with Mario Kart World and that I do not want to play it anymore. And here I am now, playing World again and having a great time.

The costumes you get from nips add to long-term playability it will stay fresh until they release new races I think

@CaleBoi25 I think there'll be free content updates with the first in Fall 2025 because the hardware bundle is delisted during that timeframe resulting in the $80 price point regaining the spotlight.

Yea, I think we’re gonna see some free stuff for the Mario anniversary next month.

For the future… I’m honestly not sure. I can see them making any DLC “free” with NSO again, actually.

Mario's anniversary is going to be gay as hell. He is like a stealth fighter over New Donk City: the Mario Kart races must be won!

In his expected outfit Mario will give a grand presentation on the merits of Japanese culture and table past failures like the Wii U, plumbing the depths of Princess Daisy's role in his canon and getting the shower to work.

Nobody can wait for Mario Day. Anniversary, I mean.

Yes! I got every sticker in Mario Kart World. This means I 100% finished the game. 3 stars in every mode, every character and costume, every challenge and collectible in free roam, time trials and stickers. It was fun. My favourite sticker is the one, which you get for racing in 440 races. Looks cool.

Thanks! I am enjoying the positive side of Mario Kart World again, instead of concentrating on the stuff, that I do not like.

I agree and love that Mario Kart World has a positive vibe, it's totally sick!

@Jhena That's awesome, congrats! I'd imagine getting the 3-star ranks in Knockout Tour is pretty hard, more so than in Grand Prix. I've mostly been playing the online. I like the sticker that's Peach's window picture from Super Mario 64.
