After almost a decade of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, there's every chance that you know all of its circuits like the back of your hand. But Mario Kart World arrives with a new roster to learn.
If you want to see every track in the game, you've come to the right place. In this guide, we'll run through all the courses grouped by their Grand Prix and Knockout Tour configurations, and answer some frequently asked questions you may have about the lineup.
On this page: Mario Kart World: Complete Course List - Every Track
Mario Kart World: Course List - Every Confirmed Track

Unlike previous Mario Kart games, World groups its circuits differently depending on which game mode you are playing. Grand Prix races collect together four nearby tracks in a 'Cup', while Knockout Tour takes place across four further apart circuits in a 'Rally'. No more traditional 3-lap races — at least, not commonly.
We've listed all of the tracks below, first in their Grand Prix format, and then in their Knockout Tour order. New courses are marked in bold, and returning courses are in italics along with which game they're originally from:

Mario Kart World - Track FAQs
Here are a handful of frequently asked question about Mario Kart World's circuits.
How many tracks are in Mario Kart World?
There are 30 unique courses in Mario Kart world, with two tracks — Peach Stadium and Crown City — featuring twice with two slightly different layouts, depending on which Grand Prix you're racing in.
Of those 30 courses, there are 16 brand new, while 14 are from previous games.
Are there any returning tracks in Mario Kart World?
There's plenty, and we're not surprised, given that the retro courses are basically a mainstay in Mario Kart nowadays.
We've highlighted the returning courses above in italics, but for ease, here they all are again:
- Airship Fortress
- Choco Mountain
- Desert Hills
- Dino Dino Jungle
- DK Pass
- Koopa Troopa Beach
- Mario Circuit
- Moo Moo Meadows
- Peach Beach
- Shy Guy Bazaar
- Sky-High Sundae
- Toad's Factory
- Wario Shipyard (Wario's Galleon)
- Wario Stadium
How long is the Day and Night cycle?
24 minutes! So basically, one minute equals one hour? That feels... weird in practice.
You can go through all of Mario Kart World's courses and, as you drive around, you'll notice the sky change throughout your playtime as the sun rises and sets. Beautiful sunset vistas, sparkling night skies, and beaming sunshine are present in every single course.
Is Rainbow Road in the game?
Of course it is — it wouldn't be a Mario Kart game without Rainbow Road now, would it?
You do have to work a bit to get it, but it's here loud, proud, and extremely colourful (and nostalgic). Find out how to unlock Rainbow Road in our guide
What's the best Mario Kart World Track?
Well, that's the ultimate question, isn't it? We at Nintendo Life each have our favourites from Great ? Block Ruins to Dino Dino Jungle, but there's a case to be made that every course could be the best one (apart from Moo Moo Meadows, that's nothing special).
