Come on and join the Kohga
It felt weird coming back to Tears of the Kingdom, one of my favourite gaming experiences evz, so soon after I had wrapped it up for the first time. Time has sped by unfathomably quickly, and I wasn't sure whether a performance boost and an additional mobile app would be enough to let the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition get its...

UK Charts Mafia: The Old Country Whacks Mario Kart World Down A Peg
Leave the shell. Take the banana.
The latest UK Charts are in and the newly-released Mafia: The Old Country finds itself at the top of the pile, knocking Mario Kart World off its pedestal and into second place. Elsewhere, Tales of the Shire has also performed admirably to land at number 8, despite some rather poor reviews. Sega has a new release...

Talking Point What Are You Playing This Weekend? (12th July)
Fun in the sun
It's looking like it'll be a hot one this weekend, and while gaming may not be the first thing that comes to mind, you know we're all going to need some time chilling in the shade at some point. Before we get into this week's What Are You Playing, let's recap the major news from the past seven days. The biggie was a tasty slice of...
Random It's Now Easier Than Ever To Get Zelda: TOTK's Best Weapon
Y'know, if you're okay breaking the game
If you're familiar with some of the glitches possible in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, then you're probably already aware of 'MsgNotFound'. It's essentially the Master Sword from the prologue section of the game, and it's quite possibly the best unbreakable weapon you can get. If you can get it,...

Hands On I Didn't Think I Could Love BOTW Or TOTK More, Then I Played Them On Switch 2
HD-hyah!
Folks, I am not a graphics or frame rate snob. I grew up playing 50hz games and my main system of choice is an eight-year-old tablet. I love style and art over visuals, and sometimes I even tolerate rough framerates. I might be a little more unforgiving in 2025 than I was a few years ago, but look, I want good games, good experiences, not...

Tears of the Kingdom should have been released in 4K when it was released. And so should the Switch 2. I've played the game and I don't really want to pay out more to play the same game again.
I will buy Switch 2, and any new Switch 2 games that appeal to me, but there is not many that do that right now.
The long wait for the Switch replacement, for an upgrade to 4k is what we wanted and it's finally here. But the long wait built up expectations for something more than a graphics upgrade. Ok there are a few multiplayer gimmicks which don't really benefit us solo gamers.
Still better late than never, I suppose.
