One of the biggest misses for me personally with the original Switch is that none of the more popular sports games of our time, and I mean these big EA and 2K efforts like Madden NFL 26 here, and the likes of FC 24 or 25, aren't up to standard seen elsewhere. There have been decent enough-ish attempts, some of those footie...

News EA Doesn't Currently Have Plans To Bring Battlefield 6 To Switch 2
The new entry arrives this October
Nintendo's Switch 2 Partner Showcase has just revealed what's ahead for the new hybrid platform in terms of third-party offerings, but it seems one series that won't be showing up any time soon is EA's popular military shooter Battlefield. Eurogamer spoke to Battlefield's head Vince Zempella as part of Battlefield...
Reaction Switch 2 Needed A Partner Showcase With Pep; This Wasn't It
Re-Pac-ed and Replanted?
I'm not one to be disappointed often, especially with Directs. Yes, even Partner Showcases — some of the best Directs have been these third-party lead ones, with June 2022's Mini Partner Showcase ranking pretty highly for me. Today's Partner Showcase was not one of those, which maybe hit a little harder because this was...
News 'EA Sports Madden NFL 26' Switch 2 File Size Seemingly Revealed
Pre-orders are now live
Although Nintendo's first-party titles for the Switch 2 won't take up much space, it seems the early batch of third-party games will. Following details about multiple file sizes for a bunch of games earlier this week, Nintendo's official website has now listed the game file size for EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 and it's...
News Madden NFL 26 Confirmed For Switch 2, But College Football Isn't In The Starting Lineup
Update 2: It's a Game-Key Card release
It has been a long old time since we've seen a Madden game on a Nintendo system (you have to go right back to the Wii U's Madden NFL 13 to find the last one, in fact), but this week, that all could change. As reported by VGC, the rumour mill has started a-churning about this year's entry in the American...

"We look forward to sharing more soon"

News EA Commits To Switch 2, Will Be Bringing EA Sports FC And Madden NFL To The System
Details thin on the ground, however
Once upon a time, Electronic Arts could make or break a system. Everyone remembers when the publisher declined to support the Dreamcast, an early sign that Sega's final console might not be the commercial smash-hit the company needed to fight Sony. In recent times, having EA on board hasn't been quite as...

This game is unplayable.
Can’t even attach me EA account to the game due to a bug, which means cannot play any of the online modes (which is most of the £70 game).
Offline. It’s full of bugs, full of slowdown and full of glitches.
Completely unfit for purpose and should not have been released. A majorly sloppy port by an incompetent developer.
I 100% agree with you @9_10DOH64. I wish I had saw this before I paid the $70 for it. This is the most garbage game I've played in roughly 10 years. Madden on the Wii was better.
So many things wrong, the controls are as bad as NFL QB Club by ACCLAIM!!!! from 1999.
The incessant need for "realism" so I can't go from play to play to play without the inbetween chatter is annoying. I've turned off the volume of the game. (If there is a way to make it automatically take you to the play select screen after ever play ends, please let me know).
The music is lame since they bleep everything out. If you don't want cursing in the game, DON'T PICK EXPLICIT SONGS!
This game takes 5 to 10 minutes to set up just to get started with the game. LAME.
Can't capture screenshots or videos, probably because they KNOW this game is broken.
Play selection sucks. I like the old school madden where i pick formation, and then pick package, and play.
I have NO idea how to do read options. Every time they just hand the ball off when I'm trying to pass. No tutorial at all on how to play the game.
Players are so sluggish, like everyone is running wet sand.
The game has jitter and lag when playing ONE player OFFLINE!
I really wish I could get a refund on this. If I didn't just spend $70 on it, I would probably never play it again. I should have bought physical so I could sell it. I would gladly take $50 for this garbage now.
It sucks because I was SO HYPE FOR THIS GAME!!! I've literally been waiting for time to play it. How does Madden ruin Madden? It really makes me wish Sega could do NFL 2k25 for the system. No matter how bad that would be, it's probably better than this. Seriously, control reminds me of Quarterback Club 1999 on the N64 (whichever one had Farve on the cover).
BUYER BEWARE! 1 star.
I'll try it again later this week and really search for a tutorial that explains everything. Maybe I can find a way to make it better, but the sluggishness makes it borderline unplayable at the moment.
@SoIDecidedTo good news is, you can get a refund. I’ve complained through Nintendo directly, as I preordered it on the eshop. Submitted my video evidence if why it’s appalling and not fit for purpose and they’ve agreed and in the process of fully refunding my money back to my eshop account.
@9_10DOH64 That's awesome. I'll try. It sucks that they turned off in game screen recording so I can't show all the jitter in lag which is completely unacceptable in an offline mode game. And this is handheld so no issues with upscaling or anything.
@SoIDecidedTo I thought that. Dodgy gits. Turning the function off so you can’t show the world how bad it is.
@SoIDecidedTo
succeeded. Full refund back on my eshop balance. The godawful game has gone.
Success and EA can suck it
